Who doesn't like pizza? The kids get so excited about getting to chow down with their friends.
The kids have a playdate while the parents get some time to themselves! We happily offer this service occasionally.
Feel free to add this calendar to your own.
We celebrate Johnny Appleseed's birthday with taste testing apples, graphing our favorites, and learning about him.
This celebration is our annual favorite! Children and teachers come dressed in costumes, play games, have a party and then participate in our famous parade.
Each child brings in one apple - and each classroom creates a gourmet treat. This is a wonderful way we communicate community and the fall season.
Thanksgiving Feast Celebration
For this celebration the children learn about the Native Americans and Pilgrims, and how they came together at Thanksgiving and learned from each other. Each classroom makes a dish that contributes to the feast!!!
Winter Celebrations: Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa
We read stories and share special snacks while the children learn how these holidays are celebrated around the world! Of course the celebration would not be complete without a visit from the head elf himself - Santa!
Take a cold winter day and spice it up with sleeping bags, teddy bears and a pancake breakfast! It is the highlight of winter!
100 Days of School Celebration
Special snacks and a special guest performer all make this counting project a real celebration and treat for the children and teachers alike!
Chinese New Year
An annual tradition here at Happy Times. Fried rice is prepared, lycee is passed out, and our one of a kind dragon parade is the highlight.
Parents come and talk to the children about their community helper job. Police, doctors and nurses, dentists and many more come for a special visit with the children.
A special celebration for the children. They learn about giving and receiving special messages on this truly "lovely" holiday!
As the season changes from winter to spring we celebrate the spring season with dying eggs, a visit from a certain fuzzy bunny, and a wonderful egg hunt!
Our dinosaur unit is not to be missed. The children help create Mt. St. Happy Times, learn about dinosaurs, and watch Mt. St. Happy Times erupt.
Calling all surfer dudes and dudettes! Our annual party to celebrate the coming of summer. Boardwalk games and treats are the main attractions.
End of the Year
Each class celebrates the end of the year in very special ways. Our Sunshine Room celebration is about how "big" everyone has gotten and how much "we can do!" Our Rainbow Room celebrates how much we have learned to do, and our Transitional Kindergarten class has a not to be missed graduation!
